NASTF Information Request and Resolution Process
The NASTF Information Request and Resolution process has been set up to assist service providers in achieving a resolution if they discover that Service Information, Tool Information, or OEM Tools are available to authorized dealers but not to service providers generally. The Information Request form may be filled out by an automotive service provider with respect to a specific vehicle that the service provider is unable to repair due to an alleged failure by the manufacturer to make available service information, collision repair information, tools, or training information. The Information Request form may also be filled out by an automotive tool or equipment company seeking specific tool information that is alleged to be unavailable.
Prior to using the Information Request and Resolution Process, please ensure that all reasonable steps to access the information have been taken. For service information requests, providers should have subscribed to the OEM website and should have used the “Contact Us”, “Support”, or other similar link from that site to request the information before filing a NASTF information request. For tool requests, the provider must have attempted to obtain the OEM tool using the procedures established by the OEM before filing a NASTF information request.
